I am a PhD candidate at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where I am advised by Katie Driggs-Campbell. I primarily work on developing assistive robotic systems through improved human-robot interaction and multimodal reasoning.
Previously, I completed my bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering and Innovation, Leadership, & Engineering Entrepreneurship also at UIUC.
Research
My research primarily focuses on Human-Robot Interaction and Human-AI Interaction for social good (and as possible, making things that look cool is a nice bonus). In particular, this has manifested through creating assistive tech for people with disabilities (see our umbrella project, TechSAge). I have been exploring path planning, multimodal communication / understanding / decision-making and seemingly everyone's recent favorite topic, LLMs.
